Pylon

I've been busy paying of an overdraft recently so haven't made much time to update my blog or work.

I'm currently finish the second to last line drawing. I feel i'm at the end of the line with that body of work, it may be revisited in the future but for the mean time it will be left aside.

For the minute. Here's a fresh perspective of a new "Line" of work i'll be focusing on.

Change Change Change

So alot of stuff has been going on in the last 10 months or so...

To keep you up to speed, i recently showed some work at the RCA in Edinburgh, Sadly the work i sent up was damaged in transit and as a result the work looked pretty rough as you'll see in the photo below.

None the less the experience was great, on top of seeing pals and visiting scotland once again the entire trip wasn't a loss.

So what else has happened.

After moving down to london to work in PR and Event management i came to realise, as my quality of life slowly declined, it was time to quit that exciting but poorly paid life.

So the plan now is to build of body of work up here, clear my debt and form a plan to move back down soon...

Here's a few images i took whilst down there. And a few as to where i'm at now.

I'll be back down south soon...

This Time...

It's been quite some time since i last updated my blog. Simply because so much has changed since my last post.

Sadly you can all still look forward to my typically shit spelling and grammar... but then it wouldn't be as good if you could make sense of it all right?

Any how. My last post was from The Glasgow Fleeto Exhibition in Shoreditch.

Who'd have thought back then i might be living in London and working in Shoreditch?

Here i am, sat in my small over priced flat in Kentish Town. Londons big, smelly at times, large scale and overwellming with extreme highs and extreme lows. It's no Glasgow thats for sure. But every city has it's pro's and con's - Highs and Lows.

Any how. On to the important stuff.

My last exhibition was at the Leeds College of Art and Design.

I had a few ideas in mind, but due to time and lack of money i decided to re-use the hod in a similar way in which i worked with in London for the Fleeto exhibition.

Unit 13 - 43m

Rules Applied (brief)

- 3 pieces of work to be produced around the city of Leeds
- 3 seperate locations
- 30 minute walks from one destination to the other to determine where the work will be produced.
- Once the 30 minutes is up the work must be produced in the line of site in a ratio of 360 degrees from that specific point.

- Although many images will be taken (by the photographer Sarah Hackett), Only one of each works will be selected to show as photographic documentation of the event.

Glasgow Fleeto Exhibit at Shoreditch Town Hall Basement

---------------------------------

Glasgow Fleeto / Shoreditch Town Hall Basement

The preparation towards this exhibition was some what none existent. With no flat, no possessions to hand and very little money, along side full time hours, motivation and time were very difficult to come by.

None the less, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try a similar idea to what i'm planning on doing in leeds. Since it's the first time the work will travel away from the city of glasgow i want to get a feeling for exactly what i'm looking to do and how it can be done.

Glasgow Fleeto Exhibition

I decided against trying to find more information about the space provided since i already had a round about idea of what it is i wanted to do regardless of what space i would be presented with to work in.

Unit 12 - 43m

Big thanks to Alice Brook for the Photography and shipment of the hod!
